“Yoga is the journey of the self through the self” ~ Bhagavad Gita

I am a E-RYT 200 Vinyasa / Hatha Yoga Teacher and teach a mindful themed based sequence.   I have a 20 Hour certification in Yoga Nidra and also teach Restorative Yoga.   Yoga provides an opportunity to link your breath with movement while positively shifting your mind.  Through the practice of Yoga I have been able to accept myself fully and love my physical body for all it is able to do for me.  Yoga for me is not about mastering a postures or looking good in a pose, it is about forming a relationship with your body and mind.

A dedicated yoga practice can lead to positive changes in every part of your life.  I currently offer online public classes that are listed below as well as private 1:1 instruction.

In addition I have spent the last 6 years dedicated to the practice of Meditation through the teachings of the Bhavagad Gita and Dhammapada and work individually with clients who are looking for a deeper understanding of meditation and starting or continuing a consistent personal practice.

“Please know that your online classes helped me get through the past year of challenges. When I look back at Covid/2020 I’ll remember our Saturday mornings of Zen. You helped get me through! Thank you for doing what you do and for your calming presence.” - Joann N.

Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation & Crystal Bowl Sound Healing

Yoga Nidra is described as deep sleep with awareness.  The goal is not to fall asleep but you may so like any yoga try not to attach any judgment to the outcome.   This is a guided meditation for about 60 minutes, so you will want to be in a comfortable supportive position could be laying down in your bed or on your yoga mat.

The Benefits of the practice are immense including the ability to relax, concentrate, visualize breathe fully and deeply, ability to be mindful, short and long term memory and more peaceful and consistent sleep.

Amanda does a great job of balancing structure and class plans while allowing space for what comes up. She makes it simple, holds space and listens, and weaves in needed moments of levity.

Since working with Amanda, I have been more easily able to connect to when I need some time and, I now look forward to practicing (even though it’s still brief). I have less anxiety around “failing” and have noticed less resistance in my mind. I look forward to practicing with Amanda again as I continue to deepen and support my meditation practice. Thank you, Amanda!”

This session gave me some guidance and useful tips.  Even little things like starting your day with gratitude and consistent practice of a few mins each day was helpful to hear.  I’m trying to do 5 mins of guided meditation each morning.
