Yoga

"Yoga is the journey of the self through the self to the self."- The Bhagavad Gita

I am a 200 RYT Vinyasa Yoga Teacher and teach a mindful themed based sequence.   I have a 20 Hour certification in Yoga Nidra and also teach Restorative Yoga.   Yoga provides an opportunity to link your breath with movement while positively shifting your mind.  Through the practice of Yoga I have been able to accept myself fully and love my physical body for all it is able to do for me.  Yoga for me is not about mastering a postures or looking good in a pose, it is about forming a relationship with your body and mind.   A dedicated yoga practice can lead to positive changes in every part of your life.

Meditation

"The mind can go in a thousand directions, but on this beautiful path I walk in peace. With each step, the wind blows.  With each step, a flower blooms." - Thich Nhat Hanh

Mediation is essential in the world we live in.  A consistent meditation practice can bring you to a place of inner peace.  I have had a dedicated meditation practice the last two years, which has allowed me to have patience with myself, compassion for others and gratitude for each day.  Mediation can include silent prayer, daily mantra, or a guided reading.  Essentially, mediation is anything that works for you to reach a place of peace and joy.  Please listen to the free guided mediations and provide feedback.

Self Love

"Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love"- Brene Brown

I have struggled through the course of my life to love my physical body and as a result I have not fully loved myself.  In our world today women are often defined by how they physically look.  Society has developed this idea that we should be searching for perfection, but what we miss is that we are already perfect just as we are RIGHT NOW.  I have received training through Dr. Melody Moore at Embody Love Movement.  I offer 2-3 hour workshops for girls and women to hold space for another and develop positive body image.   This is a conversation that needs to continue in our culture to shift the way women view themselves.
