Living Fully without Fully Planning

I have fought so long and so hard in life to never have unplanned space.

To make each moment have a purpose.  Isn’t that what successful people do?

They make lists, they have plans and they get things done.

And I was always left asking myself do these things really give me meaning and purpose or is it all just an illusion?

If everything is planned out am I really living?

What I find myself leaning into is unplanned space.  Creating time to not have a plan.  Creating time to experience my natural rhythm and flow.  To feel into what I want to do and to not question myself if it seems wasteful or not productive.

I know I have lived with this big story that attaches laziness to unplanned time.

That I can only get things done with a dedicated list and that accomplishments give me purpose.

So how do I find peace with the unplanned and full acceptance with myself?

The bigger question of how do I listen to my heart?

I have started to slowly practice it.

To start small. Really small.

To intentional not know what I am going to do and allow myself to dance with uncertainty.

For me unplanned space is hard and the more I practice in to it the more I step into my flow.

A space of magic.

I am no longer doing for the sake of doing.  I am creating and living deeply into my own life moment by moment.

And believe it or not I am still getting things done as I make space to honor my feelings and desires.

So why not give it a try. Maybe you start small with 30 minutes a day or maybe you start big with a full unplanned day.

What happens?  What does your heart experience?  What magic will you welcome in?

I have started to do this one day a week and also incorporate it with 30 minutes each day.

My intention is to one day live my full life in this way.  To flow with my natural rhythms in full acceptance and trust of what presents itself to me.

I think it is possible do you?
